Optional Tours

Includes walking time; choose one.

Tour option 1

Central New Mexico Community College's (CNM's) Quantum Learning Lab

Approximately 10-minute walk.

CNM's Quantum Learning Lab is the first, and still only, quantum technician facility with state-of-the-art equipment. It is the home of CNM's Quantum Technician Bootcamp where students have hands-on immersive training in phonics, ultra-high vacuum systems, and quantum phenomena. During the 10-week course, students build optical tweezers, generate and experiment with entangled photon pairs, and build a Rubidium magneto-optical trap from scratch. During this tour, you learn about this unique training experience, see the results (i.e., the various quantum companies that have employed graduates), and meet the current students.

Tour option 2

ABQ-Net, anchored by Qunnect

15-minute walk.

Visit ABQ-Net, New Mexico's open-access quantum network anchored by Qunnect. Spanning 25 kilometers from downtown Albuquerque to the Center for Integrated Nanotechnology (CINT)—managed in partnership with Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratories—this tour showcases cutting-edge quantum infrastructure distributing quantum entangled photons across deployed telecommunications fiber. Discover how researchers and industry partners are leveraging this state-of-the-art testbed to connect hardware, run experiments, and accelerate the future of quantum networking and learn how you can become a part of ABQ-Net.
